Pagani Huayra

Pagani Huayra is after Zonda the second model of the small automobile company founded by Horacio Pagani. The name comes from the wind god who controls the breeze, the winds and the hurricanes of the Andean Cordillera. The Huayra study started in 2003. The goal was to create a completely new car that would represent the utmost technological expression of the automotive world. Eight years were needed to complete Huayra to perfect and study the many technical solutions: one on all carbon-titanium chassis. Even from the aesthetic point, the route was extremely long, to get to the final line, hundreds of sketches were needed. Huayra is driven by the Mercedes-AMG V12 M158, a 5,980-inch 700-hp bumper.

Processing phases

It took several hours of study and several

drawings to plan the work

ahead.certainly not easy but eager to

overcome any obstacles that arise

After the most tedious part at the

computer the fun begins, hand to the

chisels.

Chisels

Chisels and gouges define shapes that

give life to the project, the rear hood.

The upper part of the cabin, where the

two lunatic and gull-wing opening door

hinges reside.

The doors.

The interior of the door, made of walnut

and Swiss stone pine wood, the

aluminium car speakers.

The rear with the two large grilled

openings for cooling.

The whole begins to outline the final

shape.

Here we fixed the wheels.

The interior of the cabin is a jewel in

itself, upholstered in genuine leather,

the dashboard, air vents, and what

shines are made of aluminium, the

steering wheel in oak and walnut and

aluminium insert.

All of this was constructed strictly by hand, this result took about twelve months of work.
